Bruce heads BRF Consultancy, a firm specialising in delivering training and stra-tegic planning for third sector organisations. Previously Bruce was Chief Executive of Gay Men’s Health for 16 years, along with being a past Chair of HIV Scotland and a founding Director of Glasgow Food Line – a charity set up to support people living with HIV.
In recognition of his advocacy for HIV awareness in Scotland, Bruce was asked by the Scottish Government to be a key contributor to the Government’s HIV Action Plan. He was one of the founding members of the Steve Retson Project and has been central to sexual health work for gay and bisexual men in Scotland for 23 years. Bruce also set up HIV prevention projects in Yekaterinburg, Russia over a 3 year period – a project which has made a profound difference to the lives of LGBT+ people in Russia.
