Since being outed following a high profile career as a model, Jacqui has for the last 30+ years been involved in raising awareness on Gender Identity related issues. Jacqui engages and is in-volved within both local and national initiatives in breaking down the stigma associated with being transgender.

Following a successful career in the private sector, Jacqui joined the Civil Service in July 2009 where she became the first ever Chair of the Transgender Network within DWP, followed by be-coming a member of the steering group a:gender in 2010 – eventually becoming it’s youngest ever Chair.

Jacqui was proud to win the very coveted award of Diversity Champion at the recent British LGBT Awards in London. Jacqui is a regular name on the ‘Pink Power List’, the Independent on Sunday, Pink News and the Pride Power List lists her as one of the most influential LGBTI people in the United Kingdom.
